The Long Island Shoulder Institute at Island Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine offers a comprehensive service for the treatment of shoulder conditions, including tendonitis and bursitis, rotator cuff tears, dislocation and instability, arthritis, fractures and prior failed treatment, including failed surgeries.  

Under the direction of Jonathan B. Ticker, MD, an editor of two textbooks on shoulder surgery, our specialized management for shoulder disorders includes non-operative and operative measures. When surgery is planned, our surgical methods emphasize minimally-invasive arthroscopic techniques.

Our dedicated Shoulder Physical Therapy Center plays an integral role for both non-operative and post-operative rehabilitation. The Shoulder Physical Therapy Center is fully integrated and staffed by specially-trained physical therapists experienced in treating the entire spectrum of shoulder conditions, from the more common to the more complex conditions.
